The NuWave Oven Pro takes advantage of Triple Combo Cooking Power to cook foods quickly and deliciously. This is NOT like Microwave technology. It uses conduction heat, just like a conventional oven, convection heat, which circulates hot air around the food, and infrared heat, which is a gentle radiant heat that penetrates food, cooking on the outside and inside at the same time. In addition to containing fewer fats and oils, food cooked in the NuWave Oven also contains less harmful chemicals than food cooked in a conventional oven or on a gas grill. The NuWave Oven’s maximum temperature is 172.20°C. Most conventional oven's cooking temperature is usually set at 190-218°C while gas grills often exceed temperatures of 260°C. This is important because studies show that cooking at 190°C produced over 8 times the carcinogens, or cancer-causing materials, as compared to cooking at 150°C while cooking at 230°C resulted in nearly 20 times the carcinogens.
Additionally, the NuWave Oven is RoHS compliant. To be RoHS compliant, the materials and toxicological profiles of the product must contain a concentration of less than 0.1% of Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Cadium (Cd), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr-Vl), Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB), and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE). The NuWave Oven liner pan is also PTFE and PFOA free.

I purchased my first NuWave oven about 6 years ago. My husband was very sceptical about it at the time however he has come to love it as much as me! I s so easy to use, cooks so much faster than a conventional oven. I have used it at least weekly over the time, there are many times when I used it on a daily basis.
A couple of weeks ago we put chips in to cook and the element had given up the ghost, so we have been using our conventional oven. I takes soooo much longer to cook than in NuWave so yesterday I called Steph and have ordered a new NuWave oven, now awaiting delivery, can't wait to get it!!!!!
The TCC combines the three cooking methods. Conduction is the heat that is applied directly to the food. Convection is the circulated hot air, produced by our quiet motor and specially designed fan. They allow the heat to distribute evenly for faster cooking and even browning. Far Infrared is simply a form of gentle, invisible radiant heat. It penetrates the inside of foods while also cooking from the outside, leaving foods moist and full of flavour yet browned to perfection. Hearthware's specially patented heating rods enhance the Nuwave Oven's unique infrared capabilities. The concept is similar to the warmth of the sun's rays felt on your skin. As a matter of fact, about 80% of the sun's rays consist of these infrared rays. The same principle applies to our Nuwave Oven, only on a smaller scale. Without the extender ring, you can cook up to a 4.5kg turkey. However with the extender ring, you can increase the capacity of the oven and cook up to a 7.25kg turkey.
One of the great things about the Nuwave Oven is how delicious and perfectly brown turkeys turn out. A lot of people have asked; how do you get the giblets out of a frozen turkey? Start cooking the turkey breast side down for the first half of the cooking process. When you flip the turkey breast side up, the insides should be thawed enough to remove the giblets.

The Nuwave Oven's triple combo cooking power allows multiple items to all cook at the same time. Normally, it would take about 50 minutes to cook one frozen Cornish hen. If you started all four at the same time, you can cook them all in about 50 minutes. Basically, if the foods fit in the oven, they can be cooked at the same time.
Any cooking utensils that can be used in a conventional oven can also be used in the Nuwave Oven. Things made out of foil, metals, Pyrex, and even prepared frozen entree trays are safe in the Nuwave Oven.
From Artichokes to Zucchini, vegetarian dishes are endless. Corn and green beans come out crisp and delicious. Potatoes, sweet potatoes, and yams come out perfect and fluffy. Peppers, onions, eggplant, mushrooms and squash taste like they just came off the grill. Try asparagus brushed with olive oil, they turn out perfect in less than 8 minutes. Make your favourite recipes with roasted garlic and, broccoli or tomatoes. Don't forget about soy burgers, they come out great in the Nuwave.
Because of the synergy created by the triple combo cooking power and because the Nuwave Oven cooks foods quickly using less heat, it produces little to no smoke. Moreover, whatever smoke that does get generated is confined in the Nuwave Oven. Under normal household usage, no ventilation system is needed.
The Nuwave Oven has ten power settings; "HI" setting being the maximum. On "HI" setting, the approximate temperature is 175°C (350°F) Because of the Triple Combo Cooking power, the Nuwave Oven will cook quickly. For example, a frozen 4.5kg turkey will cook to perfection in about 2 and 1/2 hours.
Even if you are cooking different foods such as fish and vegetables at the same time, the smells and tastes do not mix. And also the Nuwave Oven is self-contained, most of the smells and any smoke that may be created stay within the dome.
The Nuwave Oven is rated at 1500 Watts compared to most conventional ovens at 3400 Watts. With the Nuwave Oven, no pre-heating or defrosting is required, it uses as little as 15% of the energy and cooks most foods up to 50% faster.
The cooking rack can be reversed to be used at a low height of 2.5cm or the high side of 10cm. The 2.5cm rack accommodates larger foods such as roast chicken because allows more space from the element. Whereas, the 10cm rack accommodates smaller foods such as lambs chops, or fish, and it sits closer to the element.
